Beloved, Beyond the Sea

Xo Raleu, a mid-level politician in a nomadic colony of merpeople, is part of a cult. In defiance of her people's zealous belief in the Will Below, a volcano god, Xo privately worships Sascharrne Nekein, a galactic goddess who appears in her dreams. When a fellow Nekein follower loses his research position due to his disbelief in the Will Below, Xo is convinced she can't help him, until her goddess intervenes, dragging her into a world of love, passion, and acceptance she's only tasted in her dreams.
